You’ll see Siege Weapons demonstrations & contests, Heavy & Light weapons melees, Archery clout shoots, Thrown Weapon competitions, Artisans Row, and much, much more!
Site fee is DONATION ONLY, and will be split between Event Costs and Northshield Endowment Fund.
Although this event is FREE, all attendees are strongly encouraged to PRE-REGISTER by contacting Lord Michael O'Conallain and letting him know your name and planned activity - especially if you are bringing a siege engine or plan to participate in any martial activities - so we may better coordinate the event.
Overnight camping on site - $5/family per night. Motel within 1/2 mile of the site for those wishing not to camp overnight. Additional motel information will be available on our website soon.
Merchants are encouraged to attend, with no additional fee (camping fee does apply if you camp overnight). Again, please PRE-REGISTER if you can.
Site is wet, so bring your own alcohol if you wish.
There will be no feast, but on-site food (hamburgers, brats, chips & beverages) will be available from Noon to 3:00.
Site is handicap accessible, but the restrooms are not wheelchair friendly.

--At 3:00 pm I'll be teaching a class called "Northshield Bardic Circles". This is for everyone who ever walked by the bardic circle at an event and thought, "That kind of looks like fun, but I don't know any of those songs". I'll have song sheets! Singing along is NOT mandatory; just like an actual bardic circle, you can come to listen, too.
--In the evening (starting at approx. dusk) there will be a bardic circle, open to all. The format will be "Bardic Uno": each piece has to have something in common with the previous piece (language, topic, mood, origin, etc.) We'll have frequent "wild card" periods too.
